“Check low beam” light? What sorcery is that?

At least your stuff is saying it’s broken when it isn’t instead of having to find what’s not broken.
If you add more resistance will the warning light go away?

If you put some resistors in parallel with the LEDs the check light should go out, pretty sure those just are based on “hey this isn’t pulling enough current, the bulb must be dead (filament broken)“
Looks good!

My E39 tells you which tail light is out.

Thank you!! Ill have to figure out how and what resistors i need...never played with this stuff before

It should..i dont know how to do that so ill do some research

Neat!

I’d put a DC ammeter in line with the LEDs and see what current they’re drawing to see how much power vs. the factory wattage, and go from there.
Example:
Factory lights draw 55W (4.6A @ 12V)
LEDs drawing 1A @ 12V (12W)
Resistor must dump 55-12=43W -ish
43W @ 12V = 3.58A
12V/3.6A = 3.33
Look for a 4 ohm 50 or 100W resistor, mount it to sheetmetal so it can sink heat.
Obviously your numbers will vary.

Just checked and these came with resistor packs.. one is probably bad, just emailed to see if i can get another..

You can wire a resistor Ono the headlights to take the warning light away. If it were me I'd probably just leave it though.

I recently did the same thing, I am so happy to be able to see. I get the same warning light, only bigger because it comes up on a big screen with a picture of my truck with a light out.
